Local Facilities

Follifoot village is a thriving community with an excellent range of amenities and facilities.

There are two public houses in the village,the Harewood Arms and the Radcliffe Arms.Both serve traditional ales and homecooked food.The Radcliffe is situated on Pannal Road and the Harewood is on Main Street.

Next door to the Harewood is the Village Post Office and shop.The shop is also a newsagency,grocery and off license.

The parish church in the village is St Joseph and St James on Knaresborough Road.Services are held on Sundays at least twice a month.The Church has close links with the popular village primary school located on Main Street .

Behind the school , adjacent to the village green is the Village Hall.Recently refurbished it is available for hire and is used as venue for cricket club events.It is also a meeting place for local organisations and clubs such as the WI and indoor bowling club.

 Five star self-catering apartments are offered in the village at Rudding Gates (www.rudding.com/gates/escape ) and hotel, conferencing, golf and restaurant facilities are offered at the nearby Rudding Park resort (www.ruddingpark.com)

A welcome recent addition to village amenities is the permissive footpath,a collaboration between Rudding Park Estate,the Cricket Club and the Parish Council.Part of its circular route runs past the cricket pitch enabling walkers to take in a match during the summer!
