Chappell Cup Final









Follifoot v Harden

Follifoot secured an outstanding result by lifting the Chappell Cup at Ilkley on Bank Holliday Monday. It was the first time the Club has won an Airedale & Wharfedale League Trophy since joining the League in 1963.


Losing the toss Follifoot were sent in to bat first and lost 2 early wickets to Mat Topham but then recovered with Scot Thomson (30) and Ollie Rosillo (48). The innings was given a boost with a swashbuckling knock from Jim Hudson (42). Follifoot finished with 187 for 6 with Steve Townsend on18 not out.

In reply Harden made a poor start collapsing to 12 for 3 with wickets for Jack Emmett and Stephen Goalen.

The main resistance was from Tom Cumming (55) but when he fell to a brilliant catch in the deep by Mike Milligan the end was near. A late flourish from Harden tail-enders took them to a final 165 all out. Jim Hudson was judged the Man of the Match for his excellent batting.


Follifoot v Hall Park 2ndXI

Follifot 2ndXI Gained a rare victory over Hall Park. Chasing 177for victory Liam Ford lead the way with 72. Paul Townsend 35 n.o. and a quick fire 22 from Shaun Ledger saw Foot home with one over to spare.


Follifoot v Pool 1st XI

Follifoot's promotion challenge came to an end on Saturday with a comprehesive home defeat against Pool on Saturday. pool scored 208 for 5 off their 50 overs. Follifoot were all out for a paultry 77 with Australian C Loveridge taking 7 for 29 from 12 overs.
